about
I wrote this song one winter after having had terrible panic attacks for many years. This song is about the perpetual middle ground of chronic pain and what happens to our emotional states when we feel stuck in a bad place for too long.
lyrics
I wanna cry in the shower but I can't
My mind is full of terrifying noise
But there's a glamour to spinning out this way
Every single day
The politics of ultimate control
Living under siege of what I think I know
Breaking in a mold I always crave
Every single day
Why'd I give my power away
I didn't think I'd need it cuz I keep the pain at bay
But then it presses at my jaw
And pushes all my joy away
Every single day
